On May 15, CECEP Deputy CEO An Yi met with visiting delegation of Palestinian Fatah led by Abbas Zaki, member of the Fatah Central Committee, at CECEP headquarters. An extended a warm welcome to the guests and briefed on the general situation of CECEP. Both sides exchanged views on solar energy development and overseas project construction, agreeing to increase follow-up efforts to explore opportunities for cooperation.

Recently, the hand-over ceremony of the China-aided solar power generation project in Cuba was held at the newly completed solar power plant in Cienfuegos Province, Cuba.

On May 9, CECEP Deputy CEO Li Jie met with visiting Canadian delegation of environmental companies headed by Jay Khosla, Assistant Deputy Minister for Natural Resources of Canada, at CECEP headquarters. The two sides had a lively discussion and reached consensus on carrying out extensive cooperation in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection.

On May 8, CECEP held talks with China Development Bank (CDB), and both sides signed an Agreement on Development Financing Cooperation, which marked an elevation of new-type bank-enterprise strategic partnership based on deep bilateral cooperation and paved the way for CECEP’s energy conservation and environmental protection businesses to receive continuous development financing support from the state. CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan and General Manager Wang Tongzhou joined CDB President Zheng Zhijie to attend the signing ceremony.

With an aim to push forward Sino-Russian cooperation in energy efficiency and expand energy cooperation between the two countries, the National Development and Reform Commission of People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation (Minenergo of Russia) have established a Sino-Russian Energy Efficiency Working Group under the China-Russia Energy Cooperation Committee. As a major player in the working group, CECEP appointed Deputy CEO Chen Shuguang a member of the working group.

According to the recently released result of the Sixth Evaluation of Chinese PPP Projects in Waste Incineration Power Generation and Construction Projects for Recycled Materials Use, co-sponsored by chinabidding.com.cn and paihang360.com, China National Environmental Protection Group (CNEPG) won four awards including “Chinese Best Investors in Construction Projects for Recycled Materials Use,” “Chinese Top 10 Investors of PPP Projects in Waste Incineration Power Generation,” “Chinese Top 10 Most Respected Operators of PPP Projects in Waste Incineration Power Generation” and “Chinese PPP Projects in Waste Incineration Power Generation with the Best Reputations.”

On April 18, Deputy CEO Yu Honghui met with a delegation led by Ms. Arianna Censi, deputy mayor of Milan, Italy, at Jieneng Building, the headquarters of CECEP.

From April 4-8, Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2018 was held in Boao, Hainan Province. CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan was invited to attend the opening ceremony and the “Advancing Together the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals” session.
