From November 1-3, the 2018 Annual General Meeting of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) was held at Diaoyutai Hotel in Beijing. On October 10, China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) held a directors meeting, announcing a decision on leadership adjustment: State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of China (SASAC) appointed Yu Honghui, member of the board of directors of CECEP as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CECEP.

At the invitation of the Development Research Center of the State Council, CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan attended the opening ceremony of 2018 China Development Forum Special Session held in Beijing from September 16-17. Liu also delivered a speech at the parallel session on the theme “Coping with Climate Change and Extreme Weather Events” and carried out in-depth discussions with Chinese and foreign guests on related topics.
From September 18-20, the Annual Meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum (WEF), also known as Summer Davos, was held at Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. At an invitation of Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the WEF, China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) Chairman Liu Dashan attended the opening ceremony, a luncheon for Chinese central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and a Serbian governmental delegation and other related events of the forum.
