On December 13-14, the 12th Solid Waste Strategy Forum, sponsored by E20 Environment Platform, was held in Beijing. China National Environmental Protection Corporation (CNEPC) was named among the 2018 Top 10 Influential Solid Waste Treatment Enterprises in China, which marked the ninth consecutive year for the company to earn the prestigious honor.
The inaugural “Outstanding Cases of SOE Global Image Building” Selection was unveiled at the Chinese Enterprise Global Image Summit 2018 held in Beijing on December 12. After the organizing committee’s primary review and the final judgement by the appraisal panel, Top 10 Outstanding Cases were selected, including the “localized communication in Sri Lanka” submitted by China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC) under China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP).
On November 26, Qin Lihua, deputy general manager of the East Africa Branch of China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC) under CECEP and manager of Tenende-Matema Road (34.6 km) project, attended the completion ceremony of Makwale Primary School located at the site of the project. With a total cost of US>50,000, the school assistance project was co-funded by CGC East Africa Branch (70%) and Belgian company Kim’s Chocolate (30%) and consists of two classroom buildings and a public toilet.
On November 19, China International Contractors Association (CHINCA) announced the 2018 credit rating results for Chinese contractors of international projects, and China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC) under CECEP was rated AAA, the highest rating possible. Since its first participation in the assessment, CGC has received the top rating for 10 consecutive years.
On November 19, the “China-France Year of the Environment” was officially launched at Beijing Capital Museum. Chinese President Xi Jinping and French President Emmanuel Macron exchanged congratulatory messages on the event. Chinese Minister of Environmental Protection Li Ganjie joined François De Rugy, Minister of State and Minister of the Ecological and Solidarity Transition of France, to unveil the logo of “China-France Year of the Environment.” CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan attended the event as a distinguished guest and delivered a speech.
On November 15, CECEP Deputy CEO An Yi met with Robert Scharfe, CEO of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, and his entourage at Jieneng Building, CECEP headquarters in Beijing.
A delegation headed by Philip Mihlmester, head of global energy of ICF International Inc. visited CECEP headquarters on November 13, and had a meeting with CECEP Deputy CEO Li Jie. The two sides discussed cooperation on policy research, energy efficiency, and import of environment-friendly technologies, as well as the China-Europe energy cooperation platform jointly developed by the two companies.
The first China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from November 5 to 10. The first national expo themed on imports, it showcased China’s resolve to open itself wider to the world. CECEP had a presence at the event with a team of over 100 representatives from 12 branch companies headed by CECEP Chairman Liu Dashan and Deputy CEO An Yi.
