The year 2018 marks CECEP’s “Year of Technological Innovation.” The company has accordingly formulated Action Plan for Technological Innovation (2018), and the first group of 18 key innovation projects have been kicked off. So far, CECEP has set up 89 research and development institutes at various levels, including four national R&D institutes, 29 provincial- and ministerial-level institutes and one overseas R&D institute, and received 214 scientific research awards at and above the provincial and ministerial level, including a First Prize of State Technological Invention Award (2015), a Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award (2016) and a Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award (2017), alongside 2,183 authorized patents and 466 authorized intention patents. In addition, it has played a lead role in 200 scientific research projects at and above the provincial and ministerial level, and presided over and participated in the formulation of 269 national and industry standards.

On November 28, as the impeller of the 55th wind turbine slowly started to operate, all the wind turbines of CECEP’s 300MW offshore wind power project on Nanpeng Island in Yangjiang City, south China’s Guangdong Province, were connected to the grid for power generation.

Recently, CECEP Solar Energy Technology (Zhenjiang) Co., Ltd. won the GW gold award of the SNEC Top Ten Highlights at the 15th (2021) International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition. The award-winning project is called “Intelligent Operation and Management Cloud Platform Based on Industrial Internet AI and Big Data Technology.” On the occasion, the company signed a series of strategic cooperation agreements with multiple companies in the solar energy industry.

A set of national standards called “The performance testing method of bi-circulation unit for low-temperature waste heat recovery and utilization” (GB/T 40286-2021), compiled by 12 institutions under the leadership of CECEP Engineering Technology Research Institute, was recently promulgated upon the approval of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China, which will be officially enacted on December 1, 2021.
