On April 9, CECEP Industrial Energy Conservation and Sichuan University signed a joint declaration agreement on establishing the National Carbon Neutrality Technology Innovation Center.
The two sides will focus on China’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality before 2060 and the major needs of protecting the ecological environment of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Seizing the opportunities presented by China’s pledges to peak carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality, the company and Sichuan University will work together towards three major R&D directions, namely reduction of carbon emissions, zero carbon emissions and carbon negative emissions. To promote the high-end and key technologies in treating pollutants, they will enhance the efforts in building infrastructure, engage in major scientific and technological tasks and strengthen talent building.
