The 2019 annual conference of China Enterprise Innovation Forum, sponsored by the Chinese Association of Productivity Science, was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on December 29. Yu Honghui, CEO of CECEP, attended the event and delivered a speech.
At the conference, Yu made a speech titled “Carry Forward Market-oriented Green Technological Innovation and Accelerate Industrial Transformation and Upgrading of Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection” and shared his views on the innovative development of energy conservation and environmental protection with other participants. Yu pointed out that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012, China has attached unprecedented importance to environmental protection, and industries related to energy conservation and environmental protection have merged into a fast lane, entering the fast-growing period throughout history. However, the development of those industries still lags far behind in terms of industrial concentration and enterprises’ competitiveness.
Yu noted that CECEP has invested 2 billion yuan to establish CECEP Ecological and Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., set up the Yangtze River Economic Belt Ecological Products Development Research Center, built a national engineering research center focusing on centralized, coordinated treatment and recyclable utilization of solid waste, and proposed launching an innovation alliance for the overall protection of the Yangtze River, with an aim to create a “high-level, heartwarming and strong” pollution control platform for the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
