2019 marked the first year of the commercial use of 5G. On December 30, 2019, the 7th China Enterprise New Media Annual Meeting was held in Xiongan New Area, one of the first “national pilot zones for the innovative development of the digital economy” and one of the earliest cities achieving commercial use of 5G, under the theme of “5G All Media Era.”
At the meeting, the Information Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, GS Data, and the Center for Journalism Studies of Tsinghua University jointly unveiled a ranking list of new media works by Chinese enterprises in 2019. China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) won a 2019 China Enterprise New Media Creation Award for its corporate image promotional short video “CECEP in One Minute.”
“CECEP in One Minute” is a short video made by CECEP under the support of the official microblog account of People’s Daily. The video depicts the changes that CECEP could bring to the ecological environment through a minute’s effort, with an aim to spread the awareness of environmental protection and publicize the specific actions taken by the corporation. It also aims to call on the public to work together with CECEP to build a “green home” with every minute’s effort. Since it went online on June 5, 2019, the short video has received more than 5.65 million hits, and earned recognition and support from all CECEP employees and the whole society.
