China’s first batch of corrugated denitration catalysts developed by Qiyuan (Xi’an) Dae Young Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., (Qiyuan Dae Young) a subsidiary of CECEP, realized commercial production in Xi’an, filling a domestic gap. Corrugated denitration catalysts are widely used in purifying oxynitride discharged by gas-fired power generating boilers, gas waste heat boilers, or industrial boilers. The performance of the catalysts has reached the technological level of imported products, but features low price, short delivery period and easy-to-get services. At present, its application for patent has been accepted.
In recent years, China’s consumption of gas-based denitration catalysts has been reliant on import. Patents and technologies remained exclusive to a few European and U.S. companies. Chinese enterprises had to pay expensive environmental fees annually. The commercial production of gas-based denitration catalysts by Qiyuan Dae Young symbolizes the company is the first to develop corrugated denitration catalysts in China, putting an end to China’s reliance on import in terms of gas-based denitration catalysts.
